"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." -Dr. Seuss
Hi there! My name is Andrew Engdahl and I'm here to ask for your help in my quest to serve and represent the people of CA-4 as the next Democratic member of Congress in the United States' House of Representatives.
When I made the decision to run for Congress for the first time in 2022, I set out to prove that any normal person with enough will, energy, and passion to do the job can put in the effort and make a difference.
Through grassroots efforts, I successfully set the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters record for gathering the most face-value nomination signatures (1,024 in total) to petition my way onto the ballot rather than pay for the opportunity outright like so many other candidates do.
In my next attempt, I plan to build upon this momentum to set the example of what is possible to take money out of politics with a little courage and good old-fashioned effort.
I am on a mission to defend democracy and the civil rights of all our people, ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare and education, preserve our environment, and bring our people back to a common understanding of what the truth is.

Watch the first bi-partisan Congressional Primary Debate in our District in over a decade; we made it happen!
On April 20, 2022, I went to UC Davis to pitch the first Congressional Primary Debate in over a decade to the Davis College Democrats and Davis College Republicans as a joint bi-partisan event in the name of democracy. I wanted to ensure that the voters of our District were well informed of the choices available to them for their next Representative, as well as make an effort to heal the increasing political divides in our Nation by coming together to discuss our views in a civil, open forum.
The Davis College Republicans answered the call, and through collaboration with my campaign, we were able to deliver all 5 challenger candidates to the incumbent representative—Mike Thompson—for what was truly a bi-partisan debate on May 18, 2022.
Democratic, Republican, and Independent voices made their respective cases as to why they should be chosen to serve in the United States House of Representatives, and it is my hopes that this civil forum can serve as a model for every District in our Nation as we work to bring our people back together and choose our own leaders that accurately reflect and champion our concerns and values.
